Frequently Asked Questions about Play and Learn Preschool

1  Can I tour the preschool?

Yes, you can. We encourage you to take a tour so that you may determine whether our preschool meets your needs and you feel comfortable enrolling your child(ren) in our program.

2  Can parents of enrolled children visit our preschool?

Parents are welcome to visit at any time without notice.  We encourage parents and family members to visit and share in the activities of the children.

3  Can parents eat lunch at preschool?

Yes, you are welcome to eat lunch with your child at any time.  However, if you do know the day you plan to be present for lunch, please advise us in advance so that your meal may be included in our daily preparation count.

4  Is your staff trained?

Yes. Education levels within our faculty and staff include CDA, Master Teachers Certificate, Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Director Level Certification, First Aid and CPR among others.  Numerous staff members have been on staff for 4 to 8 years or more.

5  Can I nurse my infant at preschool?

Yes.  We encourage you to come to the preschool so that you may nurse your infant.  This may be done in our infant room or in a private room arranged for you.

6  Is Play and Learn Preschool associated with a church?

Yes.  Play and Learn Preschool began as a ministry outreach of Yale Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) over 30 years ago.  The preschool, although a separate non-profit corporation, remains affiliated with and a ministry of Yale Avenue Christian Church.

7  What is the accepted method for payment of tuition?

A tuition payment plan is established at the time of enrollment.  Our Pro Care management system accepts various forms of payment.  Click the Tuition button on the home page for details.
